The Greater Lewisville Community Theatre was established as a non-profit tax exempt organization in 1983, and they acquired this building in 1997. This is Lewisville's oldest extant building, dating to 1885, and they renovated it in 2005, adding some finishing touches in early 2006.
This is a small, intimate theater, with about a hundred seats and a small snack bar. They do about five productions over a year, mostly comedies and musicals, but they also do drama and the occasional live music event to raise funds for good causes. Parking is mostly behind the building, and Old Town Lewisville has a good number of spots on Main Street and the surrounding blocks, but this isn't typically an issue unless another local event is happening.
