Nadat het gemaal van de polder Vlist-Oostzijde in 1992 werd vervangen door een elektrisch gemaal is de een-clinder dieselmotor bewaard gebleven.
De motor is een in 1930 door Crossley Brothers Ltd in Manchester, Engeland gebouwde motor die gestart word op gecrompimeerde lucht uit het startlucht vat. Het vermogen is ongeveer 30 PK bij 300 RPM.
Na het openen van het museum in oude Gemaal De Hooge Boezem in Haastrecht is de Crossley motor in een buitenvitrine geplaatst en is deze permanent te bewonderen.

After the pumping station in the Vlist-Oostzijde polder was replaced by an electric pumping station in 1992, the one-cylinder diesel engine has been preserved.
The engine is an engine built in 1930 by Crossley Brothers Ltd in Manchester, England that is started on compressed air from the starting air barrel. The power is approximately 30 HP at 300 RPM.
After the opening of the museum in old pumping station De Hooge Boezem in Haastrecht, the Crossley motor was placed in an outdoor display case and can be admired permanently.
