A 4x4 vehicle is needed to get to this benchmark due to the rough dirt road and the deep drainage trenches that are dug across the road in multiple locations.
Directions to the benchmark: Take the Ingerson Rd. in Randolph, NH, across the road from Six Gun City. At approx. a mile in stay right for Pond-of-Safety Rd. Around 3/4 of the way the road gets a lot rougher (this is where the 4x4 vehicle comes in handy). You will come to a "T" intersection, with a signpost also "T" shaped, go left here. A short distance further there is a road on the left with a small signpost that just says "path", go that way. Parking/trailhead is at N 44 24.479 W 071 20.436. After parking, walk down the path to the waters edge and follow the path to the benchmark final coordinates. The benchmark can be found in the top of a rock along the edge of the pond.
