A hexagonal oak pulpit on the north side of the chancel arch in the church of St Margaret of Antioch, South Elmham St Margaret. It is set upon a tapering base, end on looking like a 'wine glass' type, but lengthwise extends to the east wall to give full support to the pulpit. The panels are decorated in the style of (in my opinion) late perpendicular windows, with tracery. If the decoration is contemporary, then it dates the pulpit to the late 15th or early 16th century Tudor period.
Also of interest are some preserved medieval bench ends, with poppyheads, along the west end of the north wall of the nave. They are slightly smaller than their 19th century (ca.1875) counterparts.
