This portion of the Osoyoos Oxbows, managed by Nature Conservancy of Canada, protects this mosaic of habitat types to benefit biodiversity including wetlands, riparian shrub habitats, deciduous woodlands, wet meadows, oxbows and grasslands. Shrubs and trees were specifically chosen to match the nesting habitat of Western Screech-Owl, Yellow-breasted Chat and other Species at risk.
