Cand. Teol. Erik Valeur opførte, med kommunal garanti, i 1911 ”Faaborg Realskole” for elever fra 13 - 17 år. Valeurs skole blev allerede 1919 solgt til kommunen. Senere blev skolen ændret til at have yngre elever og blev nu kaldt Sundskolen. Skolen fungerede til midt i firserne hvor den lukkede ned. .
Over hovedindgangen blev lavet et relief med navnet ”Faaborg Realskole”, Faaborgs byvåben og 2 ugler.
På den søndre gavl et rektangulært relief, der består af initialerne EV (Erik Valeur) og JV (Jane Valeur, hans kone) med symbolerne for tro, håb og kærlighed imelem.


Priest Erik Valeur built, with a municipal guarantee, in 1911 "Faaborg Realskole" for students from 13 - 17 years. Valeur's school was already sold to the municipality in 1919. Later, the school was changed to have younger students and was now called Sundskolen. The school operated until the mid-eighties where it closed down. .
A relief was made over the main entrance with the name "Faaborg Realskole", Faaborg's city coat of arms and 2 owls.
On the south gable is a rectangular relief consisting of the initials EV (Erik Valeur) and JV (Jane Valeur, his wife) with the symbols of faith, hope and love in between.
