In commemoration of the
centennial year of the South Dakota
School of Mines and Technology,
A time capsule was deposited beneath
this marker on March 15, 1985.
Included in the capsule are items
representative of 1985 and of SDSM&T's
history from the Gold Rush days
to the computer age.
