The gates in this lych gate was restored in 1985 in memory of Joseph Laight (1913-1985), the inner seat was restored in 1993 in memory of Harry Laight 1913-1993.

From the (visit link) website:-
"This church is tucked away at the end of a lane, but very close to the railway line from Droitwich to Kidderminster. There was at one time a medieval manor house to the east of the church which belonged to the Lovett family, later to Blount, and then to the Pakingtons. This was destroyed in the Civil War, and the Pakingtons rebuilt their nearby hunting lodge at Westwood into the great house there today. The nave and chancel of the church and the north and south doorways are basically Norman. The windows are 14th century and contain some interesting glass, both ancient and modern. The north chancel was added as a chantry for Lady Alice Stury of the Blount family in 1414, and enlarged by the Pakingtons in the 1560’s. It contains several monuments to the Pakingtons, and also one to Dr. Hammond, chaplain to Charles I, who was given a home at Westwood after Charles’ death, and would have been Bishop of Worcester had he not died in 1660 before his consecration."
