Kalven er en smuk bronzeskulptur på en granitsokkel. Den er i naturlig størrelse, og meget detaljeret. Skulpturen er lavet af Gudrun Lausen og købt af Næstved Kommune i 1968.
Kalven er placeret på torvet foran Sct. Mortens Kirke. I tidligere tider bragte landmændene deres dyr til netop dette torv.


The calf is a beautiful bronze sculpture on a granite plinth. It is life-size, and very detailed. The sculpture was made by Gudrun Lausen and bought by Næstved Municipality in 1968.
The calf is placed in the square in front of Sct. Mortens Church. In earlier times, farmers brought their animals to this very square.
