Bay's Chapel United Methodist Church is located on 24263 Bays Chapel Rd, a small rural road about 5 miles NW of Richards (which is Grimes County, although this church is located in Montgomery County).
A VERY brief description of the church, per a nearby historical marker on the site:
"Founded by settlers from Tennessee, the Thomas Bay family. First log church (also used as school) was built 1851 across road; site donated by A. F. Bay. This building, on land given by W. H. Bay, was dedicated 1899."
