These two doves are engraved on a granite headstone in Oakland Cemetery.

Oakland Cemetery (a.k.a. Oakland-Madill Cemetery) is located on the north side of Highway 70, just east of Oakland. These doves are engraved on the headstone of Larry J. and Sharon J. Smith.

The doves are engraved with a branch from a dogwood. One dove is sitting on the branch, and the other with wings spread, is flying away. They are engraved in black on a light gray granite headstone.


Kind of dove: Dove without olive branch, but with some clear connection to concepts of peace
