Und es gibt sie doch! :D
And they do exist! :D
Coming from Unna in the direction of Hamm, a unicorn welcomes you in a traffic roundabout on the L665, between Bönen and Heeren-Werve, right next to the Harley agency; the "heraldic animal" in Kamen-Heeren-Werve.
Heeren-Werve is a former municipality in the Unna district and has been a district of Kamen in the eastern Ruhr area since January 1, 1968. The new municipality only got a municipal coat of arms and a seal in 1936.
The jumping unicorn, already represented in the family coat of arms of the nobles of Hüchtenbrock-Heeren and in the seal of the old court of Heeren from 1649, became the Heeren-Werve heraldic animal. The hyphenated church existed for a full 57 years. In 1968 it was incorporated into the new town of Kamen.
