This Eagle Scout Project is located in Lowell, Michigan at the Wege Foundation Natural Area. The Wege Foundation Natural Area is a 62 acre well-established system of trails leads hikers through diverse habitats on the preserve, including mature hardwood forests, young mixed woodlands, and old fields undergoing restoration. Tired hikers can cool their feet in Lee Creek, a coldwater tributary of the Grand River, then extend their hike by exploring trails on the Lowell Area Schools property immediately to the west of the preserve.
This project is a deck that allows you stand or sit and observe the pond life going on around you. There is a plaque attached that reads:"Eagle Scout Project Elliot M. Johnson Troop 102 Lowell, MI Bult for the Wittenbach Wege Environmental Center.
