The grave of Pvt. Perry Morton Coleman is marked with an unusually shaped pentagonal brownstone monument. One side has a Gothic shield in which a sculpted image of a wrapped flag and a musket. Above the shield in Gothic font is the inscription:

The other side contains the inscription revealing the cause of death:

A horizontal, granite, military marker is set on the ground on the sculpted side of the monument. It is inscribed:
