recognition of the historical
significance of
Gabriela Dabrowski
Gabriela Dabrowski, a long time
resident of Gloucester-Southgate,
won the 2017 French Open Mixed
Doubles Championship, making her
the first Canadian Woman to win a
senior Grand Slam title.
Gabriela's early enthusiasm for
the sport of tennis was evident as
she practiced daily with her father at
the courts in Russell Boyd Park.
Her achievements are proof of the
hard work and dedication she has
invested in the sport of tennis, and
will inspire residents of Ottawa for
years to come.

a gagné le double mixte à Roland-Garros en

à remporter le titre d’une épreuve du Grand
Chelem.
Toute jeune, elle a montré son
enthousiasme pour le tennis
lorsqu’elle s’entraînait chaque jour avec
son père sur les terrains de tennis du
parc Russell Boyd. Son succès, qui atteste
son ardeur au travail et son dévouement à
l’égard de ce sport, sera une source
d’inspiration pour les résidents d’Ottawa
pour des années à venir.
