A Blessing Box by the name of Hilda's Helping Hand on the property of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, Tennessee placed and maintained in memory of Hilda Jeffers.
This Blessing Box is made of wood with a shingle sloped roof and a clear plexiglass door with God is Love 1 John 4:8 written on it and is a two tier with four compartments.
Today during our visit this Blessing Box was very well stocked. There were two cans of chicken breast, several cans of peas and green beans, blackeye peas, chick peas, peanut butter, butter beans, corn muffin mix, assorted fruit cups, several kinds of soups and ravioli. Dried items included eight packs of pioneer brand gravy mix, instant potatoes, spanish rice, mexican rice, chicken and rice, ramen noodles, granola snack bars and some crackers. Other non-food items included three bars of Dial soap.
I left a couple of Pal's (regional restaurant chain) coupons for free Frenchie fries and took two cans of King Cole brand chick peas and a package of the Pioneer brand country gravy.
