Senest i 1991.

English: In Kong Svend's mound on northwestern Lolland you will find the country's second longest burial chamber. Only surpassed by the graveyard at Listrup on the neighboring island of Falster. A total of 212 megalithic monuments from the Neolithic have been preserved on the two islands.

The large burial chamber, which has a chamber measuring more than 12 meters, has been excavated several times - at the earliest in 1780 - and examined archaeologically on several occasions. Most recently in 1991. During an excavation in 1942, the entrance to the mound was found. Which is located at the end of the passage which points in a westerly direction from the mound. Something unusual, as there is a tradition for the burial chamber passages to point in an easterly or southeastern direction. Like several other of the Baltic Sea's burial chambers, the mound is trapezoidal, where in most other parts of the country they are round.
