No plaque, no sign, but probably from a river boat, since the Missouri River is about 80 yards away...

County of anchor: Franklin County
Loation of anchor: sidwalk of W. Front St., in front of Marquarts landing, Inc. (Restaurant)
a bit W. of Elm Street
Easy access, it is on the sidewalk, and easy to photo someone standing next to it...but where it came from and who owns it now, is not spelled out anywhere.
The construction, with no wood, indicates to me it is not sea going (salt water) but a fresh water anchor. And then I assume (yes, I know the danger of that), some steam boat. Some of them were very large, back-in-the-day, and needed an anchor of this size.
