Rotary Central received its charter from Rotary International on October 30 1986. They created the Rotary Centennial Park to celebrate the Centennial of Rotary International in 2006.
The triangular Rotary Centennial Park contains a small cement monument with a Rotary plaque on top, a raised planting bed shaded with a pergola, several benches, and a pre-existing Neem Tree which is prized for its beneficial medicinal products. It is conveniently located in the downtown area of George Town.
