Guardian Angels Church is located between Routes 28 and 128, northwest of North Buffalo Township in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The church was originally organized by local Catholics in 1825, with Masses celebrated in homes when a priest would visit the area. In the 1870s, work was begun on a permanent church building. The cornerstone of Guardian Angels Church was laid on June 16, 1872 and the church was dedicated on October 2, 1878, the feast of the Guardian Angels. A bell tower was later added to the building. In 1917, the church became part of St. Lawrence parish in the nearby town of Cadogan. In 1930, it was transferred to St. Mary parish in Kittaning, but in 1940 was once again made a mission church of St. Lawrence parish. It remains a part of St. Lawrence Parish, which has also been joined with Christ Prince of Peace parish. It is not used actively for worship at this time, but it, along with the cemetery on its grounds, are still able to be visited.
