Greg Sousa was an avid triathlete and loved to bike along the American Tobacco Trail to work. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July 2012 and passed away due to the illness in 2016.

There are three bike stations that were made possible by donations to the Badousa (a combination of Greg's last name and his wife's maiden name) Bike foundation. This station is located along the American Tobacco Trail in Durham, NC near Solite Park (4704 Fayetteville Rd, Durham, NC 27713).

The station is a unique metal sculpture done by Al Frega. The station is fully functional with bike rack, tire pump and basic tools. There is a plaque with an inspiring quote by Greg.
