The playground is located in Walter Baker Park, near the Kanata Recreation Complex. Until recently, public restrooms were available in the rec centre. The swings, tire swing and teeter totter date back to the original 1992 playground. The two Little Tikes play structures for ages 2-12 and ages 5-12 were built in 2002. This is a busy playground.
There are many benches surrounding the play structures. There are picnic tables nearby as well as a splash pad and a fitness trail. Permanent outdoor chess tables are also near the playground.
The play structures are built above a sand surface. Much of the playground is in cool shade much of the day. The photographs are full of shadows.
