Birdhouse City is a free self-guiding trail located outside of Picton, in the McCaulay Conservation Area.
The area features over 100 reproductions of famous buildings and county-area structures, that are inhabited by our various feathered friends.
It was begun in 1978 by local hobbyist Doug Harnes, a former Superintendent with the Prince Edward Conservation Authority. The first house was a massive 80 "room" reproduction of the Massassauga Point Hotel. Soon, local groups started adding houses.
Birdhouse City is located at
224 County Road 8, Picton, Ontario
It is available for viewing throughout the year.
