The West Rim Trail System at the Rio Grande Gorge begins at a rest area on the west side of the Gorge, south of US 64. The trail offers seventeen miles of hiking with views of the gorge and the mountains. This dedicated bench on that trail is a short hike from the rest area and offers a spectacular view of the famous Truss Bridge that spans the Gorge.
