We were out exploring the dam on the Minisinakwa River and came across this Water Survey of Canada disk stamped 02-33. There is a hydrometric data station on this dam so we are assuming this benchmark was placed or is used for the station MINISINAKWA RIVER NEAR GOGAMA (04LA005) [ON].
Access:
Make your way down Highway 661 towards the town of Gogama, Ontario. Turn onto Minisinakwa Lake Road and travel about 9.8km. You will need to make a right at N47° 43.074 W81° 37.074 to reach the dam and the disk. This road is a bush road so conditions can vary but most times it is passable in a 2WD vehicle. Parking can be found just north of the dam.
