This obelish shaped memorial sits in the northern part of Paddington Cemetery in an area looked after by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The memorial is surrounded by headstones of the fallen.

The memorial that stands about five metres in height appears to be carved from pink granite. The inscription, on the front of the memorial, reads:

Sacred
to the memory
of
the Men of
Paddington
who
gave their lives
in
The Great War
1914 - 1919

They died that we might live.

An inscription higher up the obelisk reads:

Glorious
Dead
