The water flowing continuously, a system of channels collected the overflow. Under the plinth, a sewer with a cross-shaped mouth drained the water. Other fountains have been discovered on allée de la Côte Blanche and place Sadi Carnot.
All were supplied with water by the aqueduct collecting the sources of the rue Fond Vallée. From the aqueduct, a network of pipes allowed the distribution of water. It circulated in ceramic pipes or hollow trunks connected by iron cylinders called frets. "

L'eau coulant en continu, un système de rigoles recueillait le trop-plein. Sous le socle, un égout avec une bouche en forme de croix évacuait l'eau. D‘autres fontaines ont été découvertes allée de la Côte Blanche et place Sadi Carnot.
Toutes étaient alimentées en eau par l'aqueduc captant les sources de la rue Fond Vallée. Depuis l'aqueduc, un réseau de canalisation permettait la distribution de l‘eau. Elle circulait dans des tuyaux en céramique ou des troncs évidés reliés par des cylindres de fer appelés frettes. "
