The Lady Chapel reredos is dedicated in memory of George Gibb, a vicar who died in 1893 and was succeeded by Rev’d Young. The identity of the artist is uncertain, some accounts say James Egan (who designed the windows for Birmingham Cathedral and had worked earlier in his career with William Morris), others Alfred Hemmings. They appear closer to Hemmings' style than to Egan's, but they are distinguishable from the Hemmings murals on the walls. The reredos panels are unsigned, and on closer inspection the hands of the various figures in the murals and in the Reredos do not appear to have been painted by the same artist.
