This Citizens Memorial is located in Marne, Michigan at Veterans Memorial Park. The park is located on 16th Street in Marne. The Memorial is M114-155mm Howitzer in memory of the fathers of the Sons of the American Legion Post 376. There is a plaque that reads:"M114-155mm Howiter Our M114-155mm Howiter was manufactured in 1943 at a cost of $26,946.00. This weapon used standard NATO 155mm ammunition with a range of about 8 miles. With a crew of 11 people it could fire 40 rounds per hour.
This M114 was transported on August 21, 2002 from Rock Island, Illinois Arsenal by the Sons of the Marne American Legion, Post 376, in honor and memory of their fathers."
