After two and a half years of restoration work, the municipality inaugurates, Sunday, at 10 am, the church, in the presence of the architect Marie-Pierre Niguès, Mgr Castet, bishop of Luçon, and many personalities.

This tedious project began in October 2013 with the restoration of the chapel, the bell tower and the turret. The clock was also replaced to take its place at the top of the bell tower. Work continued in 2014, one year after the start of the work, with the restoration of the nave. The work was completed at the start of 2016.

All the work represents a total cost of € 1,056,683, financed up to 40% by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac), 20% by the regional council, 20% by the departmental council, and 20% by the municipality. Namely that the Heritage Foundation has collected many donations for the church.

Program of the day: 10 am, welcome with the Fanfare talmondaise, then visit of the exterior works with the architect; 10:45 am, blessing by Bishop Alain Castet, of the exterior work of the church; 11 am, mass; 12 noon, inauguration of the church, followed by an aperitif.

Ce chantier fastidieux a débuté, en octobre 2013, par la restauration de la chapelle, du clocher et de la tourelle. L'horloge a également été remplacée pour reprendre sa place en haut du clocher. Les travaux se sont poursuivis en 2014, un an après le début du lancement des travaux, avec la restauration de la nef. La fin des travaux a eu lieu en début d'année 2016.

L'ensemble des travaux représente un coût global de 1 056 683 €, financé à hauteur de 40 % par la Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (Drac), de 20 % par le conseil régional, de 20 % par le conseil départemental, et de 20 % par la commune. À savoir que la Fondation du patrimoine a récolté de nombreux dons pour l'église.

Programme de la journée : 10 h, accueil avec la Fanfare talmondaise, puis visite des travaux extérieurs avec l'architecte ; 10 h 45, bénédiction par Mgr Alain Castet, des travaux extérieurs de l'église ; 11 h, messe ; 12 h, inauguration de l'église, suivie d'un apéritif.
