The town of Cache has a population of about 2800. It is located in southwest Oklahoma, west of Lawton and south of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
The area at the intersection of 6th and B in Cache was once an outdated park with a single swing and slide. The park was restored through a $15,000 grant from KABOOM, a national non-profit dedicated to partnership with communities to build play spaces for children through their Let’s Play Community Construction Grant.
In 2012, with the efforts of the Cache Masonic Lodge #391, Maloy Park was restored, offering an up to date playground, and a basketball practice area. A small picnic pavilion is also available. This is a neighborhood playground without any on-site parking facilities. A brick pillar on the north side of the park has a plaque recognizing this project by the local lodge.
