This walkway leads up to the Koren War memorial in the northeast portion of Elmer Thomas Park.

On the path just south of Lake Helen in Elmer Thomas Park, there are several very nice war memorials for various wars. This pathway leads to the circular patio on which the Korean War memorial stands. There are approximately 100 pavers bordering a concrete walkway.

A concrete plaque embedded in the walk honors two men who were prisoners of war. The plaque reads: "WALK OF HONOR / WAYMAN E. SIMPSON, POW / DON POIROT, POW".
