9 Parliament Street in Ramsey has a particularly attractive neo-classical facade which has lots of interesting detail, including the, pilaters with their relief art plaster medallions of a semi-naked female figure holding a sickle in her right hand and a wheatsheaf in her left hand.
Other features of the building which add to its attractive neo-classical facade including the pediment, segmental window hoods at the first floor and corner splay door, framed by Doric columns.
The corner entrance door is a common feature of Victorian/Edwardian device on retail shops. 'The plastered superstructure with its bracketed cornice and alternating pedimented and arched head mouldings to the first-floor windows remains as originally built.'
