Ce jardin est dédié à tous les soldats tombés au combat, au cours des deux Guerres mondiales, de la Guerre d'Indochine, de la Guerre d'Algérie et des opérations extérieures.

Il représente une stèle centrale entourée de 12 tombes représentant différentes batailles ou campagnes, de la guerre de 1870 à l'embuscade d'Uzbin, en Afghanistan.

This garden is dedicated to the memory of all the soldiers killed in operations, during both World wars, the Indochina war, the Algerian war, and the recent military operations.

It's a central stele surrounded by twelve graves representing different combats and wars, from the franco-prussien war in 1870 to the latest Uzbin ambush, in Afghanistan.

Augustin Trébuchon

Né le 30 mai 1878 en Lozère, c’est un modeste berger avant de devenir un soldat de première classe. Soutien de famille, il est exempté de la guerre. Cependant il s’engage dès 1914 auprès du 415 ème Régiment d’Infanterie sur le poste d’agent de liaison. Il sera tué d’une balle dans la tête le 11 novembre à 10h45 soit 15 minutes avant que le clairon ne sonne la fin des combats.

Il est connu pour avoir été le dernier soldat tué pendant la guerre.

Born on 30th May 1878 in Lozère, he was a shepherd, before becoming a private in the Army. As he was in charge of his family, he was not supposed to be recruited. But he voluntarily enlisted in the 415th Infantry regiment as a courier. He was killed on 11th November 1918 at 10:45am, 15 min before the end of the war was declared.

He's known to be the last soldier killed during the war.
