En La Rochelle source:
La Rochelle is a coastal town in south-western France and the prefecture of the Charente-Maritime department. It has been a center of fishing and commerce since the 12th century, a maritime tradition which is reflected in its Old Port and its immense ultramodern marina: Les Minimes. The old town is home to half-timbered medieval houses and Renaissance architecture, with its arcaded streets dating from the 17th century.

Elle est un centre de pêche et de commerce depuis le XIIe siècle, une tradition maritime qui se reflète dans son Vieux Port et son immense port de plaisance ultramoderne : Les Minimes. La vieille ville abrite des maisons médiévales à colombages et une architecture Renaissance, avec ses rues à arcades datant du XVIIe siècle.
