The original War Memorial was a simple stone monument for those who died in WWI was place here in 1923. In 1992 a bronze sculpture was added to the top of the original monument. Not sure when the other plaques were added to the other three sides.

Marker Text: Lest they be Forgotten this monument is erected as a memorial by the Graham Family of Boerne Texas in Memory of the following named men from Kendall County who died in the military and naval service of the United States during the World War 1914-1918 (Lit of Names) March 6, 1923 // World War II (List of Names) // Korean War (List of Names) // Vietnam War by the grace of God all our Kandall County men returned home may they live peace and serenity with pride honor and dignity
Date of dedication: 3/6/1923 (original) 11/11/1992 (addition of bronzes)

Description of Memorial: The limestone memorial stands in the middle of the plaza with the bronzes on top. There are plaques around the outside with newer war information.
