The land that occupies East Granville Road Park and the Moses Wright Nature Trail was originally owned by Worthington lawyer and judge, James E. Wright. In the late 1870's he bequeathed it to his son Moses Wright. It was home to many fruit trees, native plants, flowers and wildlife. The City of Worthington bought the property in the early 1970's and has since converted it into an open space nature area.
