This is only the second time that this property, which has belonged to the powerful Mörch family for 300 years, has been opened to the general public.

This weekend, on the occasion of the Heritage Days, the Rochelais will be able to push the gates of the Château de La Faucherie, private property of the powerful Mörch family for 300 years including father Wladimir, son Christina and grandson Erik , were between 1869 and 1957, all three presidents of the Chamber of Commerce at the time.

After the "Rendez-vous aux jardins" in June, it is only the second time that the property has been opened to the general public. Visitors can admire the hundred-year-old trees, lime trees, chestnut trees, red oaks and a Lebanese cedar, as old as the house. They can also visit the ground floor of the house, with its large living room and its incredible wood paneling that adorns every room from floor to ceiling.

Chateau de La Faucherie: Monsidun road. Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Access to the ground floor of the house in the presence of the family. From 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m .: free visits to the park. Saturday at 6 p.m .: clarinet ensemble - Concert Band of the City of La Rochelle. Sunday at 11 a.m .: La Rochelle quintet - Fine hearing - Reveries around Schubert.

Ce week-end, à l’occasion des Journées du patrimoine, les Rochelais pourront pousser les grilles du Château de La Faucherie, propriété privée de la puissante famille Mörch depuis 300 ans dont le père Wladimir, son fils Christina et son petit-fils Erik, furent entre 1869 et 1957, tous trois présidents de la Chambre de commerce de l’époque.

Après les "Rendez-vous aux jardins", en juin, c’est la deuxième fois seulement que la propriété est ouverte au grand public. Les visiteurs pourront admirer les arbres centenaires, tilleuls, châtaigniers, chênes rouges et un cèdre du Liban, aussi vieux que la maison. Ils pourront aussi visiter le rez-de-chaussée de la demeure, avec son grand salon et ses incroyables boiseries qui ornent chaque pièce du sol au plafond.

Chateau de La Faucherie : route de Monsidun. Samedi et dimanche : de 10h30 à 12h30. Accès au rdc de la demeure en présence de la famille. De 10h30 à 18h : visites libres du parc. Samedi à 18h : ensemble de clarinettes – Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Ville de La Rochelle. Dimanche à 11h : Quintette rochelais – L’Ouïe fine – Rêveries autour de Schubert.
