This Ohio bicentennial bell is located outside of the visitor's center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Youngstown, Ohio. The bell is dated August 27, 2003 and was cast in Mahoning County, the county where Youngstown in located, by the Verdin Company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with that information, the bell also has a logo for Ohio's bicentennial celebration on it, as well as the Great Seal of Ohio.
In 2003, Ohio's bicentennial year, the Verdin Company built a travelling foundry and traveled around the state visiting each of the state's 88 counties and casting a bronze bell in each to commemorate the bicentennial year.
