Location of tree house: Case Rd., across the street from farmhouse, between ghost towns of Case & Bridgeport
I was diving the back roads between Case sand Bridgeport looking for cemeteries.
Case was a railroad town on the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railway line (long gone) and Bridgeport was a farm community also long gone as a town.
As I came to a small clearing in the woods, there was a small farm house on the right and this tree house on the left.
I assume (and that can get you into trouble) it was a children's playhouse. It is rather old. The lumber is starting to break down as it does in barns...if you do not paint it, it will succumb to the rain and weather.
As I research further, I find nothing on the tree house, but -- BUT, there was once a school house near here...and maybe in the cut-grass area behind this tree house....maybe.
