The Green Plaques Project, an initiative of the Berry and District Historical Society, was officially launched on Thursday, June 29 2017.

An official unveiling was held at the Berry Museum. Eleven historical buildings in Berry now have circular, bronze green plaques installed. Each plaque features a brief summary of the building’s history.

The plaque is worded:

The Wesleyan Chapel

This small timber church, built in 1884, was originally the Wesleyan Chapel.

It was erected on land nearby which had been donated to the church by David Berry and was moved to its present site in 2011.
