This bird watching observation platform is in the Sugar Lake Division of the Erie National Wildlife Refuge in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The platform is covered and has benches and two scopes to look through, including one that is handicapped accessible. The platform is accessible via two trails, both of which have parking areas along Richie Road. The Deer Run Trail, which is a 2.6 mile loop passes by the observation deck. There is also a shorter, handicapped accessible trail that leads from a parking area directly to the observation platform. A variety of birds are known to frequent this area, including bald eagles, blue herons, kingfishers, ducks, geese, woodpeckers, and more.
