The village of Friockheim (pronounced freekem) is situated in the county of Angus halfway between the towns of Arbroath and Brechin, some six miles inland from the North Sea coast of Scotland.

The bowling green sits at the eastern end of the village on the southern side of the B965 road that is the main route through Friockheim. Formed in 1916, it sits adjacent to the village's public park. The clubhouse runs along the eastern side of the green.
