The WPA constructed Harmon Park in 1936. It is filled with sandstone structures including picnic tables, culverts, an arched entrance and wading pool, as well as this sandstone footbridge.
The bridge now stands in the middle of a grassy area, west of the creek it once traversed. The bridge was moved away from the creek when it was widened and reinforced. The footbridge has fallen into disrepair, but is still a lovely sight to see.
At each corner are taller stone pillars. Arches were placed between the pillars at each end. One has fallen, but the other is intact. The wood walkway still exists. At each end, three semi-circular concrete steps have been built from the ground to the bridge walk. The tan sandstone has beaded mortar and a WPA marking. The bridge has an arched opening beneath it which once crossed the creek.
