In 2008 is de productie van Pindakaas en -pindasaus verplaatst van Delft naar Rotterdam. Hier produceren we ook de nieuwe pot pindakaas van 1 kilo. Deze heeft een gunstigere verhouding tussen verpakking en inhoud. Per jaar rollen er 20 miljoen potten pindakaas van de band.

De fabriek staat midden in de woonwijk Feijenoord. Om verspreiding van de geur van de pindabranding te voorkomen, voeren we hete lucht door een naverbrander die de pindageur verwijdert. De hitte die bij dit proces vrijkomt gebruiken we om water te verwarmen. Dit water zetten we weer in bij verschillende fabrieksprocessen.

De plantaardige olie voor de margarines en pindakaas wordt wekelijks aangeleverd per schip en opgeslagen in de gigantische Calvé-potten die de kade sieren. Deze stille transportwijze scheelt geluidsoverlast voor omwonenden, omdat er per week 30 tot 40 vrachtwagens minder door de buurt rijden.

In 2008, the production of Peanutbutter and Peanutsauce was moved from Delft to Rotterdam. Here we also produce the new 1 kilo peanutbutter jar. This has a more favorable ratio between packaging and content. Every year, 20 million pots of peanutbutter roll off the production line.

The factory is located in the middle of the residential area of Feijenoord. To prevent the peanut burn from spreading, we pass hot air through an afterburner that removes the peanut odor. We use the heat released during this process to heat water. We use this water again in various factory processes.

The vegetable oil for the margarines and peanut butter is delivered weekly by ship and stored in the gigantic Calvé pots that adorn the quay. This quiet mode of transport saves noise for local residents, because 30 to 40 trucks per week drive through the neighborhood less.
