Saint-Louis-de-France:

Saint-Louis of France
A Royal Family
The Christian king:
It was recognized that Louis was a king of great simplicity, very practical and charitable towards the poor. His thirst for justice was great. But paradoxically, his religious dogmatism pushes him to excess. For example, in 1239 he spent a considerable sum to acquire "the" crown of thorns that Christ would have worn at the time of the Passion and he built the Sainte-Chapelle to house it. Moreover, his faith made him take very cruel gestures towards the Jews, whom he had driven out of his kingdom, as well as towards the heretics and all those who blasphemed.
The canonization of Saint Louis
After his death, Louis IX appeared as a holy man in the eyes of those around him and among the French people. From 1272, a request for canonization was filed in Rome. After a long investigation, Pope Boniface VIII proceeded to the canonization of Saint Louis in 1297. Long live Saint Louis, the "just and pious king".
