The small village of Meigle is situated in rural eastern Perthshire close to the border with the county of Angus. Its war memorial can be found on the western outskirts of the village on Ardler Road in the form of an arch which forms the entrance to Victory Park, the home of the village's cricket ground.
A war memorial committee was set up in the village after the end of the First World War, with the memorial designed by Dundee architects John Bruce & Sons. It was built by Alyth mason Mr T Howe, along with Meigle joiner Mr W McIntosh, and Meigle slater Mr A Crichton. The memorial was unveiled by the Duke of Atholl on October 1st 1921.
The round-headed arch is built of hammer dressed stone under a bonnet roof. At its foot it is bordered by recessed curved stone benches. On its left side is recessed marble panel with inscription and 16 names and rank which reads as follows:
