Young's Pond Park is a 1.3 ha remnant of mixed upland forest located on limestone and sandstone bedrock with a shallow, man-made central aquatic feature.
This local environmental gem provides opportunity for year round recreational enjoyment, and is home to over 28 native plant (flora) species and a multitude of animal (fauna) species.
Enjoy your visit and please respect the natural integrity of our park. This urban natural feature is here for all to enjoy, now and in the future.

Thanks to a donation of land in 2000 from Peter Foustanellas, this park now covers more than 2 hectares in size.
For decades Young's Pond has been a place for year round recreation and it still is. Young's Pond can be seen on topographical maps from the 1930s. Posted co-ordinates are for the pond viewing spot.
