This artistic bench is located in St. Paul's Park in the Vanier district of Ottawa, Ontario. The bench was installed in the park to allow everyone to gather in freedom and enjoy nature.

First designed by Joanne Lockyer for placement in Riverside Memorial Park in 2013, the bench panels were designed to reflect the memorial theme and Joanne then donated her work to the City to be used on benches throughout Overbrook. According to a September 2018 article in the Overbrook News, Joanne felt this design helps us as Canadians express our pride and remember those who served and continue to do so. The bench installed at St.Paul’s Park has her panel design. Joanne's wish was that these benches could be used throughout the neighbourhood to carry the message that this is one community with a whole lot of heart.
