On the south side of Billerica Common a brick column contains an aluminum plaque on the east side that is dedicated to the citizens of Billerica that served during the Revolutionary War. It features a line drawing of a Minuteman and the names of 14 citizens who died during the war.

The plaque is inscribed:

Revolutionary War 1775 - 1783 This memorial is dedicated to the 321 citizens of Billerica who answered the call to fight for independence from Great Britain. Fourteen of these soldiers are known to have given their lives for this cause: Jacob Crosby Abel Danforth Joseph Davis Benjamin Easte Ebenezer French Corp. Samuel Hill Capt. Solomon Kidder Corp. Benjamin Lewis Asa Pollard Capt. Samuel Rogers Timothy Toothaker Christopher Whiting John Wilson Nathaniel Wyman In the words of Rev. Henry Hazen, "When we remember that the census of 1776 gave the town a population of 1,500, we can see in part to what extent these patriotic fathers gave service and life, to found the nation. Their children should never forget at what a price they gained freedom for themselves and coming generations.
